Luciana Paluzzi

Luciana Paluzzi, an Italian actor who was brunette with lots of volume and a big smile, became famous following Gina Lollobrigida's. The 1950s saw Ms. Paluzzi worked on both sides of the Atlantic for films like Three Coins in the Fountain and Sea Fury. She was granted the opportunity to become an American TV star in the role Simone Genet in the 1959 spy-weekly Five Fingers. She met with the Bond producers in the year 1965 to discuss possibilities of being cast for the role of lead actress Domino Derval for Thunderball. Terence Young gave her Fiona Volpe as one of a few women who can not resist Mr. Bond's enticements. Fiona Volpe is murdered in the midst of a dance floor by the friends of Bond, perhaps to punish her for her actions. James then places her deceased body in front of a table and asks "Do you feel that it is okay if my friend stays at with me at home?" That's not the fault of Fiona. Luciana Paluzzi was able to carry on her European career throughout the 1970s with this film. Films like Captain Nemo & The Underwater City (in 1969), The Six Million Dollar Man (in 1973), The Klansman(in 1974) as well as The Greek Tycoon were all released during that decade.
