Her most enduring memory is the portrayal she gave of Xena. Lucy got the part initially planned for Vanessa Angel, but she couldn't attend due to illness. The character became the most watched TV series during the time the show was on. Lucy's portrayal of Xena was successful enough that a spin-off show was created and it was released in September 1995.
